The 21st Century Beetle Arrives

One of the most successful cars ever sold, the Beetle is the symbol of the Volkswagen brand. Now an all new Beetle has just arrived that promises to shed its feminine appeal in favour of a more universal one.

More muscular and sportier the new Beetle is longer, wider and lower than before. There are a host of engine options including a 1.6-litre 105bhp diesel engine with emissions of just 113g/km that is capable of 1,279km on a single tank. That’s enough to travel from Dublin, to Cork, to Galway, to Belfast, to Dublin and back to Cork again!.  There is also two petrol a 1.2 and 1.4 engine and two diesels a 1.6 and 2.0.

The new Beetle offers plenty of space for four and lots of luggage. The boot can handle up to 905 litres of space, there is the option of a panoramic tilt/slide sunroof and music lovers can opt for a 400 Watt Fender sound system – recently named audio system of the year in the USA. Premium optional features also include Bluetooth technology, keyless access with push-button start, leather seating surfaces and BI-XENON headlights and LED daytime running lights.

With a starting price from €19,995 the Beetle is well priced and likely to mean a whole new generation is bitten by the Beetle Bug.
